Say Goodbye to Split Ends

Split ends are the splitting or fraying of the hair shaft due to various reasons. The splitting of the hair is a type of hair damage that typically begins near the ends of the hair shaft. Split ends have stagnated many hair goals! Most women have them, have had them, or will have them at some point.

What are the main causes of split ends?

1.Over exposure of hair to the sun, pollution, dust and excessive chemicals while styling.
2.Using scalding hot water while washing your hair.
3.Using harsh shampoos or too much serum and styling gels too frequently.
4.Using hard water to wash your hair (water that contains too much chlorine will cause color to wash out and also cause the ends to split).
5.Lack of regular trimming and conditioning schedules.
6.Over use of heat, hair dryers, hair straighteners or curlers can cause irreparable damage to your hair follicles.
7.Teasing or back combing your hair regularly.

Here are some best home remedies to treat split ends:

1.Coconut Oil
To get the maximum results from your coconut oil hair treatment:
-Start with thoroughly shampooed and towel-dried hair.
-Take a scoop of coconut oil (about a quarter of a handful) and work it into your hair, starting from the roots and ending about midshaft.
-Clip your hair up, wrap it in a towel or plastic wrap, and wait 30 minutes.
-Hop back in your shower, rinse, and then shampoo twice. Home remedies can build up in your hair if you don't thoroughly get it out.
-Repeat once every two weeks.

2.Honey and Olive Oil Treatment
The moisturizing combo of honey and olive oil nourishes damaged hair, and as an added bonus, it's great for treating a dry scalp and boosting shine.
-Mix together three tablespoons of olive oil with two tablespoons of raw honey, and apply it to your hair after you shampoo.
-Leave it on for 20 to 30 minutes, rinse, and then wash your hair with a moisturizing shampoo to remove any residue.

How to keep hair split ends away?
-Use sun protection serums or simply a scarf/hat while going out.
-Wash hair in cold water whenever possible.
-Use fine satin or cotton pillow cases to prevent harsh friction while you sleep.
-Use mild shampoo and natural conditioners on a regular basis.
-Deep condition on a regular basis.
-Towel-dry your hair, but gently and avoid heat and chemicals whenever possible.
